La notte degli Oscar 2016 si è da poco conclusa e, sebbene non sia stata tra le più avvincenti edizioni degli ultimi anni, sarà senz’altro ricordata per la fatidica statuetta finalmente assegnata a Leonardo DiCaprio (miglior attore protagonista).
Come miglior film, invece, è stato premiato Il caso Spotlight, ma Revenant (che era tra i più quotati) ha permesso anche al suo regista Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu di portarsi a casa l’Academy Award.
La migliore attrice protagonista di quest’anno è stata Brie Larson, che ha recitato magistralmente in Room, mentre la migliore sceneggiatura non originale è stata attribuita a La grande scommessa. Com’era prevedibile Inside Out ha vinto come miglior film d’animazione, mentre la miglior pellicola straniera è stata quella ungherese, Il figlio di Saul. Nottata memorabile anche per Mad Max: Fury Road, che ha fatto incetta di statuette, ben sei!
Un applauso va poi al maestro Ennio Morricone, che a 87 anni consacra la sua gloriosa carriera con l’Oscar alla migliore colonna sonora (per il film The Hateful Eight).
