Sono stati rivelati durante la cerimonia andata in scena nella notte tra il 10 e l’11 gennaio a Beverly Hills, tutti i vincitori dei Golden Globe 2023. L’evento è stato condotto dal comico Jerrod Carmichael. Tra i riconoscimenti assegnati nell’ottantesima edizione dell’evento organizzato dall’Hollywood Foreign Press Association troviamo The Fabelmans come miglior film drammatico mentre come miglior serie drammatica abbiamo House of Dragons, spin off di Game of Thrones.
Per quanto riguarda gli altri Golden Globe, a Steven Spielberg il premio di miglior regista grazie a The Fabelmans. Battuto James Cameron con Avatar: La via dell’acqua. Gli spiriti dell’Isola incoronato come miglior film comico ai danni di Babylon e Everything Everywhere All at Once. Colin Farrell è il miglior attore di un film comico (Gli Spiriti dell’Isola). Battuti Adam Driver (Rumore Bianco), Ralph Fiennes (The Menu), Diego Calva (Babylon) e Daniel Craig (Glass Onion: Knives Out). Evan Peters si impone con la sua interpretazione di Jeffrey Dahmer.
Diversi i premi per il cast di Everything, Everywhere, all at once. Michelle Yeoh è la migliore attrice in una commedia mentre Ke Huy Quan è il migliore attore non protagonista. Angela Basset ha portato a casa il premio come migliore attrice non protagonista grazie a Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Il miglior attore protagonista in un film drammatico, invece, è Austin Butler che vince grazie alla sua interpretazione in Elvis.
Cate Blanchett di Tár è stata incoronata come migliore attrice non protagonista in un film drammatico. Le serie tv vincenti sono state Abbott Elementary, vittoriosa come migliore serie comica su The Bear e Hacks. Zendaya ha vinto il Golden Globe come migliore attrice protagonista di una serie drammatica grazie a Euphoria mentre a Kevin Costner con Yellowstone il premio di miglior attore protagonista in una serie drammatica.
Menzione speciale per Eddie Murphy che ritira il premio alla carriera.
