In settimana si sono tenuti i BAFTA Game Awards, equivalente britannico dei The Game Awards. E ancora una volta a trionfare è stato Baldur’s Gate 3, ma c’è stata gloria anche per Alan Wake 2 e Cyberpunk 2077.
Baldur’s Gate 3: vincitore di cinque BAFTA Game Awards
Intutile dire che anche in questa occasione l’RPG di Larian Studios ha fatto man bassa di premi. Oltre a vincere la categoria principale, ha portato a casa altre quattro ‘maschere‘ per un totale di cinque premi. Di fatto Baldur’s Gate 3 ha portato a casa i seguenti premi:
- Best Game
- Best Music
- Best Narrative
- Best Performer in a Supporting Role
- EE Players’ Choice
Neil Newbon (Astarion) non è riuscito a bissare il premio dei The Game Awards come miglior performance, e nella stessa categoria erano nominati anche Amelia Tyler (voce narrante) e Samantha Béart (Karlach). Ma il premio come non protagonista è stato assegnato ad Andrew Wincott che nel gioco interpreta Raphael. Nella stessa categoria era anche nominata Tracy Wiles (Jaheira), ad avvalorare l’ottimo lavoro di recitazione fatto per questo gioco.
Tra gli altri giochi premiati ci sono anche Alan Wake 2, scelto per la visione artistica e per il comparto audio, e Cyberpunk 2077 che porta a casa il premio per il supporto a lungo termine come accaduto agli scorti The Game Awards 2023.
